As we usher in 2016, I would like to wish all our friends and clients the very best for the coming year from the Nybble Team. What an exciting and inspiring year ahead with the introduction of new technology and the unstoppable march of progress. We are working hard to make sure we are right up there with the leaders in the field, bringing you the cream of what is available, at the right price.
We are now able to offer SAGE Online, Document Management and total workplace and Cloud security thanks to our new partnerships, our Engineers have continued to evolve and train so that you have the peace of mind you are in safe hands. Best of all, thanks to having the best suppliers in the industry working alongside us, we can really help you transform your IT environment without blowing your budget. Our bespoke software has been well received in the Motor Industry, enhancing and progressing beyond Kerridge and feedback has been superb. We really do make a difference so give us a call and see what we can do for your business.
So, the opportunities are endless, the limits self-imposed. What are you going to do to make this the year that your personal goals and achievements soar and become fulfilled?
During the recent floods, we faced a difficult situation where a client woke up to the company server submerged underwater – thankfully, they trusted us to handle their IT and we had them up and running, all data restored on a new server thanks to our commitment to having the fastest response time in the industry. A full account of this will be on the website shortly so that you can see for yourself what our clients think about our service. It could have been disastrous, thanks to experience and foresight it wasn’t and that’s the difference between having professionally managed IT services and not being prepared.
Slack is really starting to have a presence and with the ability to help business teams communicate and share documents, why email, when you can discuss and share in real time? The use of BOTS, applications running automated tasks, will increase and with the only limitation being the skill of the programmer, they could soon be automating meetings, updating statuses and even working quietly in the background in newsgroups, government and social media. Algorithms, deep learning, cognitive computing and Quantum Computers all made the top trends this year according to Webbmedia Group 2016 Tech Trends. Smart Virtual Personal Assistants (SVPAS) hit the list for the second year running, the technology leaving the fringe and becoming mainstream; most people are now familiar with Microsoft’s Cortana which will continue to get smarter as the year progresses. Probably the biggest changes that will come in 2016 are the way in which we secure our technology, especially with the inevitable switch to storing data by way of Cloud technology. New protections will come into play on different levels and it is important to keep an eye on what is more effective especially with the new data regulations.
Socially, we interacted on even more social media platforms in 2015 and the emergence of public shaming hit the headlines once more. In a world of instant news and instant opinions, make a mistake that is publicised and you run the risk of serious consequences as mob justice takes over. Cecil the lion was the big story of 2015 and with it many people suffered not only the guy who decided to kill the magnificent animal and grin for the camera. No longer are we subject to the stylised version of events played out to us on mainstream media, we now have the benefit of every side of the story and every opinion and viewpoint. Only time will tell if this will improve our world, but it is a wakeup call to those who have had little to challenge the monopoly of their influence.
So, that was the year that was and now in with the new. We wish you success, progress, health, wealth and happiness. No time of year ever feels as motivational or inspirational as the turn of the calendar into a fresh new year. It’s exciting, full of hope and promise. Where is it going to take YOU?
